Is peel-and-stick better than traditional wallpaper?
Neither is better, as they solve different problems. Peel-and-stick is right for rentals, kids’ rooms, and anywhere you expect to change your mind, and it comes off without steam. It also needs a smooth, clean, well-primed wall, and it does not perform over texture. Traditional pasted and non-woven papers last longer, sit flatter, and handle a wider range of materials and finishes. If it is going up for a decade, hang it traditionally.
Should I just paint instead?
